The White House launched this Friday (27) an application that allows users to follow the news and public statements of President Donald Trump. The application, called “The White House” (The White House, in Portuguese), is available for free download from Apple and Google online stores in the USA.
“The official White House mobile app keeps you connected with President Donald J. Trump and his administration like never before. Receive real-time breaking news alerts straight from the White House on major developments, executive actions and national priorities,” says the program description.
The White House also released a promotional video in which it jokes that there have been “a lot of launches lately”, alluding to the American bombings in Iran, but asks users to “relax”, as this new launch corresponds to an application.
The Trump government redoubled its presence on the networks, with dozens of affiliated accounts on the X network, the launch of a profile on TikTok and the use of Truth Social, a platform created by the Republican president himself.
In addition, it changed the tone compared to previous governments through the use of memes generated with artificial intelligence (AI) to criticize political opponents.
