Mercosur and Canada get closer to a free trade agreement with negotiations in April

A Canadian government official directly involved in the negotiations told Reuters on Friday that the country’s Trade Minister, Maninder Sidhu, is “very interested” in finalizing the agreement later this year and that he will meet with his Brazilian counterpart on the sidelines of the World Trade Organization meetings in Cameroon on March 28.
