The interim dictator of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, had her presence confirmed this Wednesday (25) at an economic forum held in Miami, at which US President Donald Trump will speak next Friday.
Your participation will be remote, as confirmed to EFE Agency organizers of the FII Priority forum, and occurs amid the complex relationship between Washington and Caracas following the January 3 military operation, which resulted in the capture of then dictator Nicolás Maduro and his subsequent transfer to New York, where he faces legal charges related to drug trafficking.
The event will bring together global leaders from the economic and technological fields. The meeting, focused on artificial intelligence (AI) and investments, brings together more than a thousand business leaders and international figures, including the president of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), Brazilian Ilan Goldfajn, as well as executives and policymakers.
The forum will close on Friday with the participation of President Trump.
Delcy Rodríguez assumed the interim leadership of Venezuela shortly after the capture of Maduro, who will appear this Thursday (26), together with his wife, Cilia Flores, before a federal court in the Southern District of New York on charges of drug trafficking and corruption.
FII Priority, held in Miami Beach over three days, is part of a series of global meetings that bring together leaders, investors and authorities to debate the main economic and technological challenges at an international level.
