Germany financed 15,000 interceptor drones SHOOT additional resources for the National Guard of Ukraine under a package that includes training, logistics and further development.

According to the website Defence Blogthe announcement was made last Monday (23) by the German Embassy in Ukraine. “Another 15,000 interceptor drones SHOOT produced in Ukraine with German funding for the Ukrainian National Guard,” the embassy said in a statement.

“The multimillion-dollar deal also provides training, logistical support and additional UAV development. Funding is provided by Germany, supporting Ukraine in countering Russian aggression.”

The system SHOOTdeveloped by WIY DRONES, is described as a missile-type interceptor UAV designed to engage high-speed and maneuvering aerial targets. These include kamikaze-type drones Shahedfixed-wing reconnaissance UAVs and other attack drones.

According to the SINGthe platform is intended to provide standoff protection for positions, units, and critical infrastructure by intercepting threats before they reach defended areas. The system is designed for rapid launch and high closing speed, allowing it to engage targets within a short reaction window.

Integration with the software SING and external targeting sources, including radar, provide operators with real-time guidance on target direction, altitude and speed, which reduces the time between detection and engagement and decreases operator workload in high-tempo environments where multiple threats may appear at the same time.

These characteristics position the SHOOT in a class of lightweight interceptor drones designed for rapid response rather than long duration missions, with a focus on speed and interception capabilities, attributes very relevant on the battlefields currently observed in Ukraine.
