TikTok content creator Amanda Hood filmed the moment the driver of a Buick accelerates and crashes into the wall of an Old Navy store in Panama City Beach, Florida. The event has been seen by more than 8.2 million people.

Hood wrote in the caption that the driver claimed he attempted to reverse at the moment the tow truck was about to attach the vehicle.

“Poor guy, he just didn’t want the car taken,” the influencer wrote.
“Sorry, sir, but it looks like you were ‘driving’ and trying to escape via the sidewalk. This was not his day,” the text reads.

The car was blocked by two other vehicles since it was parked, and was surrounded from behind by the tow truck, so that the pavement was the only possible escape route. However, the driver ended up crashing into the front wall.

“Somebody call the police,” Hood can be heard saying. The man got out of the car, clearly shaken, and tried to reason with the driver of the tow truck. In the background, you can hear someone calling the police.

“He’s discussing with the tow truck driver now, we just need the police to get here as quickly as possible… I don’t know if he hit anyone,” she continues.

Although Hood did not provide further details about the case, users took to the comments section to show some sympathy for the man.

“It would have been cheaper to just pay for the towing,” wrote one. “He multiplied his problems tenfold… Now he has to pay bail, court costs, trial, damages and the car,” noted another.

@mandah88 Poor guy just didn’t want his car repossessed. He said he was just trying to reverse 🫣his car while they were attaching it to the tow truck. I’m sorry sir that looks like you were in drive and trying to escape via the side walk. Today was not his day. #pcb #pierparkpcb #Baday #reverse ♬ original sound – Amanda Hood
