The Japanese luxury sedan will be launched first in 100% electric versions, with prices between 48,795 and 57,195 dollars, while the hybrid version ES 350h will be launched later
Lexus has announced the launch of the new ES 2026 in the United States, marking the arrival of the eighth generation of the luxury sedan with a new strategy for the model range: the first models to arrive at dealers will be all-electric battery versions, while the new hybrid ES 350h configuration will be available at a later date.

According to the manufacturer, the 2026 ES 350e is expected to arrive at dealerships in April.
The new Lexus ES uses a multi-purpose platform designed to support different types of powertrains, including hybrid and all-electric systems. This platform is shared between the ES 350e, ES 500e and the upcoming ES 350h, which also shares much of the interior and exterior design with the electric variants.
In the electric model range, the ES 350e has front-wheel drive and one electric motor, while the ES 500e uses two motors – one on each axle – with four-wheel drive. Both models use a lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 74.7 kWh.

According to Lexus, the ES 350e has an EPA-estimated range of 307 miles, equivalent to approximately 494 kilometers.
Visually, the ES 2026 introduces important changes compared to the previous generation. The model has grown in almost every dimension, with increased wheelbase, width, length and height in the electric versions. Lexus states that this gives more space in the cabin, especially for the head, shoulders, hips and legs, and makes it easier to get into the car.
The body design is inspired by LF-ZC-concept and includes elements such as L-shaped LED daytime running lights, a new interpretation of the brand’s characteristic spindle grille and a rear light strip that runs across the entire width of the car.
On the electric models, the front is more closed to improve aerodynamic efficiency, giving a drag coefficient of 0.25.

Inside, the new ES focuses on a more minimalist design, while at the same time emphasizing refinement and technology.
All models are now equipped with a digital instrument panel with a 12.3-inch screen and the new Lexus Interface infotainment system with a 14-inch touchscreen. The system also introduces a redesigned start menu, support for two Bluetooth phones at the same time, OTA updates and an integrated driving recorder in the electric versions.
Among the comfort features, the Executive package stands out, exclusively available on the ES 350e Luxury. This solution provides electrically adjustable rear seats, heating, ventilation, massage function, leg rest on the passenger side and multizone climate control with control in the center armrest, which brings the sedan closer to executive level comfort.
The Premium versions use NuLuxe upholstery and interior details with geometric patterns and mood lighting. The Luxury variants offer semi-aniline leather seats, bamboo details, extended mood lighting and a Mark Levinson PurePlay Surround sound system with 17 speakers and 1,800 watts.
In terms of connectivity, the Lexus ES 2026 offers wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless charging, smartphone-compatible digital key on higher trim levels and support for the brand’s connected services. The model also introduces the new generation Lexus Safety System+ 4.0, with updates in active safety and driver assistance systems.
19-inch rims are standard on the entire model range, while some versions can be equipped with 21-inch rims. The color palette has also been updated with new options such as Wavelength and Copper Crest, in addition to familiar Lexus colours.
With the launch of the ES 2026, the brand expands its electrification strategy without abandoning hybrid technology, which will continue to be part of the model range with the upcoming ES 350h.
The aim is to offer one platform for different customer types, which combines luxury, technology and several powertrain choices in one of the manufacturer’s most traditional sedan models.
