President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva confirmed this Thursday (19) that Dario Durigan, executive secretary of the Ministry of Finance, will assume the role.
The exchange takes place after the resignation of Fernando Haddad, who stepped aside to focus on his electoral candidacy.
Durigan is considered chair number 2 in the department and, before going to the Ministry, he served as Director of Public Policies at WhatsApp from 2020 to 2023. A lawyer by training, he also has a master’s degree from the University of Brasília.
