Security cameras caught a man stealing more than 200 pieces from a Corinthians store in the east zone of São Paulo. The case happened in the early hours of Monday (16), at Avenida Dalila, 67, in Vila Dalila.
According to the owner, when he arrived at the establishment everything appeared to be normal, as the automatic door was closed. However, criminals used equipment to clone the alarm and gate control signals, managing to enter without leaving signs of forced entry.
Inside the store, various merchandise were taken, including winter clothes and more valuable items. It is estimated that around 250 pieces were stolen in one area alone. Closed boxes and even empty packaging were used to transport the products.
The owner also stated that this was not the first case, as there was another invasion attempt in January. During the action, two vehicles with tampered or covered license plates were seen parked in front of the location.
The external cameras were not working due to a short circuit caused by a termite-infested tree on the sidewalk, and the images available are only from inside the store.
The Military Police were called via 190, were at the scene and instructed the registration of the incident report, which has not yet been formalized. The case must be forwarded to the 21st Police District.
