Three young Argentineans died after a serious traffic accident in Casca, Rio Grande do Sul, on Friday night (13). The driver allegedly overtook and entered the opposite lane, colliding head-on with another vehicle, which was coming in the opposite direction. Due to the force of the impact, the driver and two passengers of the overtaking car died on the spot.
All three were from Argentina. The driver of the other vehicle, a 50-year-old man, suffered serious injuries. He was rescued and initially taken to Santa Lúcia de Casca Hospital. Due to the severity of the condition, the driver was later transferred to Cristo Redentor Hospital, in Marau. The circumstances of the accident will be investigated by the Marau Civil Police.
