After all, Cher‘s son, whom the singer shared with her late ex-husband Sonny Bonotied the knot with Shara on March 8 in Los Angeles after nearly a decade together. Their story, however, goes back much further.
“I first met Shara more than 40 years ago when we were just teenagers,” Chaz told People in an interview published March 13. “I think it’s safe to say that not many grooms ultimately end up marrying the very first girl they ever kissed so many years later.”
Indeed, although the 47-year-old and his wife met as teenagers at the Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute, their romance didn’t fully blossom until 2017 after they reconnected.
For their nuptials, the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel was transformed into a moody wonderland with burgundy and deep purple flowers in red vases adorning the black-carpeted aisle.
