Car invades synagogue in the USA and police are called after report of a shooter

Police were called to reports of a shooter and a car that broke into the Temple Israel building, a synagogue that houses a school in the state of Michigan, in the United States. According to American media, the shooter is dead.

“We are aware of an ongoing security incident at Temple Israel. Law enforcement is on the way. Our Jewish agencies are on maximum security as a precaution. We ask community members to stay away from the area at this time,” the Jewish Federation of Detroit said in a social media post.

The incident prompted Bloomfield Hills Schools to go into “secure mode,” the Bloomfield Township Police Department said in a social media post.

West Bloomfield Township is about 25 miles northwest of Detroit.
