Iran announces three conditions for accepting end of war

by Marcelo Moreira

Iran’s regime spoke for the first time about its conditions for ending the war with the US and Israel in the Middle East, after spending two weeks rejecting any possibility of negotiation.

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian used his social media on Wednesday night (11) to argue that the parties can reach a ceasefire by complying with three points: guarantees that the US and Israel will not launch future attacks against the country; payment of reparations for the damage caused; and recognition of Iran’s “legitimate rights.”

In the publication, he reported that he was in contact with the Russian dictator, Vladimir Putin, to talk about the situation. The Kremlin leader also spoke with US President Donald Trump in recent days, presenting himself as a possible mediator in the conflict.

While Iranian authorities try to resume some diplomacy to contain the escalation of the war, its military continues to attack neighboring countries in response to the American-Israeli military offensive, which completes 13 days this Thursday (12).
