This Tuesday (10), Minister Alexandre de Moraes shelved the investigation he opened to investigate American businessman Elon Musk regarding the alleged use of instrumentalization of the social network X to disrespect court decisions in Brazil.
The Attorney General’s Office (PGR) concluded that there are not enough elements to file a complaint against the billionaire being investigated. The agency explained that the investigation began after suspicions that X may have tried to violate court orders.
After the steps taken during the investigation, no evidence was found that demonstrated criminal intent on the part of the company’s representatives. According to the PGR, the problems identified were only related to specific technical failures in the functioning of the platform.
These flaws, according to the agency, were corrected after notifications made by the authorities. For this reason, the Prosecutor’s Office assessed that there was no deliberate attempt to disobey court orders or harm ongoing investigations.
