President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva receives, this Monday (9), the president of South Africa, Cyril Ramaphosa, for work meetings at Palácio do Planalto, in Brasília.
The expectation is that, during the meeting, the two leaders will sign at least three agreements to expand cooperation between Brazil and South Africa.
The meeting is part of the Brazilian government’s strategy to diversify trading partners after the tariffs announced by the United States. The negotiations involve agreements in the areas of tourism, trade, investment and culture.
After the meeting at Palácio do Planalto, the leaders go to Palácio Itamaraty, where they participate in an official lunch. Next, Ramaphosa is also expected to visit the National Congress and the Federal Supreme Court
