The governor of Goiás, Ronaldo Caiado, announced that his official affiliation ceremony with the Social Democratic Party (PSD) will be held next Saturday, March 14th.
Caiado confirmed his affiliation with the PSD on January 27th, via social media. The governor of Goiás thanked União Brasil and said that the time has come to take a step forward. The decision was taken after internal impasses in the PSD that made his candidacy for President unfeasible.
Now, Caiado joins the governors of Rio Grande do Sul, Eduardo Leite, and of Paraná, Ratinho Júnior, both who are also pre-candidates for Planalto in the 2026 elections.
