The São Paulo Civil Defense issued severe warnings for rain this Saturday morning (7). The north and central regions are on alert for rain throughout the day.
The traditional alert was issued around 7:30 am on a day that dawned with a completely cloudy sky. On Friday (6), Civil Defense warned of the return of rains at the weekend. According to a statement, this Sunday (8), the approach of a cold front on the Southeast coast should increase conditions for more persistent rain.
Regions close to the coast may experience thunderstorms accompanied by lightning, gusts of wind and occasional hail. With changes in the weather, the agency recommends increased attention, especially in areas more vulnerable to flooding, landslides and other disturbances associated with intense rain.
