The Romanian Armed Forces have received a new delivery of 20 Cobra II armored vehiclesproduced by the Turkish company Otokar.
The vehicles have already started to be distributed among various military units in the country, strengthening the mobility and operational capacity of the troops.
The information was published by the Turkish journalist Muhammet Metin on his page on the social network X. According to the post, the transfer of the vehicles to the Romanian army took place on 4. marts.
This new delivery is part of a wider modernization program for Romania’s land forces. IN July 2025 the country had already received additional 40 Cobra II armored vehicleswhich initiated the integration of the model into its military units.
The agreement between Romania and Otokar was signed in november 2024. The contract covers not only the delivery of the vehicles, but also local production in collaboration with the Romanian defense industry.
