The United States says it destroyed several Iranian mobile missile launchers that were camouflaged as trucks to make their identification more difficult on the battlefield.
A video published by the United States Central Command (CENTCOM) shows when these platforms are detected and struck by precision weapons.
According to the American military, Iran used this method to hide the launchers while carrying out attacks against countries in the region. Despite this attempted camouflage, surveillance and tracking systems were able to spot vehicles and guide strikes that neutralized the threats.
The operations are part of a broader campaign to reduce Iran’s ability to launch missiles and drones. According to Washington, the offensive has gradually been extended to deeper areas of Iranian airspace, while Israeli Air Force planes are also participating in the destruction of ballistic missile launchers.
US officials say that in just four days of operations, the strikes reduced Iran’s drone launches by 73% and ballistic missile launches by 86%. When the clashes began on February 28, around 350 missiles were fired against Israel, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Qatar — a number that gradually decreased in the following days after attacks on the launch pads.
