The United States claims to have destroyed several mobile Iranian rocket launchers camouflaged as trucks in an effort to make them more difficult to identify on the battlefield.
In video published by U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) shows the moment when these platforms are discovered and hit by precision weapons.
According to the US military, Iran used this method to hide the launch pads while conducting attacks against countries in the region. Despite the attempt at camouflage, surveillance and tracking systems were able to identify the vehicles and direct the attacks that neutralized the threats.
The operations are part of a wider campaign to reduce Iran’s ability to launch missiles and drones. According to Washington, the offensive has gradually expanded into deeper areas of Iranian airspace, while aircraft from the Israeli Air Force are also participating in the destruction of ballistic missile launchers.
US officials say the strikes in just four days of operations have reduced drone launches by 73% and ballistic missile launches by Iran by 86%. At the start of the clashes, on February 28, around 350 missiles were fired at Israel, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Qatar – a number that gradually fell in the days following the attacks on the launch platforms.
