A nursing home collapsed in the early hours of this Thursday (5), in the Jardim Vitória neighborhood, in the Northeast region of Belo Horizonte. Until the last update, the Fire Department confirmed one death and reported that around 12 people still remained under the rubble.
According to the Minas Gerais Military Fire Department, the property also housed, in addition to the nursing home, a gym and a tanning bed. The owner of the building also lived there.
Fifteen vehicles were mobilized for the incident. The teams work to manually remove the rubble and search for possible victims. The Minas Gerais Military Police works to isolate and control the area.
