How Brazil could become an ‘unexpected beneficiary’ of the crisis in Iran

In this scenario, countries in Europe and Asia, including China, India and Japan, would have to look for new sources of crude oil to make up for the drop in the flow of product trapped in the Persian Gulf and this could boost Brazil’s oil exports, which since 2024 has become the main item on Brazil’s export agenda, surpassing soybeans and iron ore.
