The President of the United States, Donald Trump, stated this Tuesday (3) that companies in the Defense sector are producing weapons under “emergency orders” to meet the demand caused by the war against Iran. The statement was made in an interview with Politico.
According to Trump, the United States has medium and long-range ammunition in “unlimited” quantities, at the same time that the military industry is accelerating the production of new equipment. “We are producing quickly,” he said. He also criticized former President Joe Biden, stating that his predecessor did not use available stocks.
The speech comes hours after Trump himself admitted, in a post on social media, that the country “is not where it would like to be” in relation to the volume of cutting-edge weapons in the North American arsenal — a statement that generated immediate repercussions in the internal debate about the US military capacity.

Attacks reach fourth day
The conflict, fought between the United States, Israel and Iran, entered its fourth day this Tuesday. The offensive began on Saturday, after bombings in Tehran that, according to published information, killed Iranian supreme leader Ali Khamenei, as well as other high-ranking officials.
Since then, Iran has retaliated with attacks against Israel and strategic areas in the Middle East that host US military bases.
Trump also stated that Iran was “running out of missile launchers”, although he did not present proof. According to him, Iranian systems were being “decimated”. The US Army released videos that it attributed to bombings against Iranian military structures, but did not detail how much equipment was destroyed.
On Monday, Trump indicated that the largest wave of U.S. attacks is yet to come and could occur “soon.” The president also declared that he projects the conflict to last four to five weeks.
