Through a post on the social network Truth Social, the President of the United States, Donald Trump, stated in the early hours of this Sunday (1) that the country could react “with a force never seen before” if Iran carries out retaliatory attacks against the North American country.
“Iran just declared that they are going to strike very hard today, harder than they have ever struck before. THEY BETTER NOT DO THAT, HOWEVER, BECAUSE IF THEY DO, WE WILL ATTACK THEM WITH A FORCE THE LIKE HAS NEVER BEEN SEEN BEFORE!” Trump said.
Iran launched hundreds of missiles and drones against US troops and urban areas in Israel, as well as Arab countries allied with the United States, in response to the initial attacks that took place last Saturday (28).
Also in the morning, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian stated in an official statement that the death of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei represents “a great crime” and declared that the episode will not go unpunished.
During a speech shown on Iranian state television, the president of the country’s Parliament, Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf, sent a direct message to Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. According to Reuters, Qalibaf stated that both “crossed a red line” and that there will be consequences.
