Thomas Rhett is going through life changes.
Indeed, the country music star welcomed his fifth baby—a little boy named Brave Elijah Akins—with wife Lauren Akinsthe couple confirmed.
“Welcome to the world Brave,” they wrote in a joint Feb. 27 Instagram post. “Oh. my. goodness. Our hearts are just in a big ole puddle with this precious baby BOY.”
“Brave Elijah Akins was born last week at almost 10 pounds and almost 2 weeks early,” they continued. “Thank you Jesus this big boy didn’t wait another 2 weeks to be born.”
In the carousel of photos, Thomas and Lauren—who are also parent to daughters Lillie Carolina4, Lennon Love6, There’s James8, and Willa Gray10—shared adorable snaps of their new little one, as well as intimate moments from his birth. In one photo, the “Die a Happy Man” hitmaker can be seen rubbing Lauren’s lower back as she sits in a hospital bed. In another black-and-white photo, Thomas, 35, placed a tender kiss on his wife’s forehead as she held the pair’s newborn.
And the dad of five also had a special role in the delivery room.
