The United States and Israel carried out a coordinated attack against Iran early this Saturday morning (28). Explosions were recorded in the capital Tehran and at least four other cities. In response, Iran fired missiles at Israel and attacked American Navy bases in the Middle East.
According to President Donald Trump, the action would be a way to end a threat to the security of the American country. The US military says the offensive could last days.
According to Reuters, Iran’s supreme leader, Ali Khamenei, has not yet been located. The IRNA News Agency reported that the country’s president, Masoud Pezeshkian, is safe.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the offensive could create “conditions for the courageous Iranian people to take control of their destiny.”
