Kurganmashzavod, part of the “High-Precision Systems” holding of the Rostec concern, delivered the first TM-140 all-terrain vehicle this year for exploration operations in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia).

The equipment will be used in conditions typical of the region, such as packed snow, permafrost and mountainous terrain. Yakutia is known for extremely low temperatures and limited infrastructure in areas far from main centers, which requires specialized logistics solutions.

The vehicle was purchased by a geological exploration company based in Khabarovsk, part of the OGK Group holding. Its main task will be to transport cargo and support teams of geologists searching for mineral resources.
According to the manufacturer TM-140 passed multi-level tests before delivery. The delivered unit was equipped with a passenger module, an additional fuel tank and a winch for operations in difficult-to-reach areas.

The vehicle’s cabin accommodates up to seven people. The passenger module allows for accommodation of a service team of up to eight people.
The load capacity is up to four tons. The operational range is 550 kilometers, which can be increased to 870 kilometers by installing additional fuel tanks.
Off-road vehicles produced by Kurganmashzavod are used in the oil, gas and mining sectors, as well as in search and rescue operations conducted by the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in the northern regions of the country, such as the Komi Republic, Arkhangelsk Oblast, Murmansk Oblast, Chukotka Autonomous Okrug and Krasnoyarsk Krai.
