Sweden has announced its 21st military aid package for Ukraine, with a total value of nearly $1.4 billion.

According to the Swedish Ministry of Defense, the main purpose of the funds is to strengthen air defense and develop Ukrainian offensive capabilities amid the current conflict.

A key element of the package is the expansion of a joint project to produce long-range Ukrainian drones, which will receive about $618 million in funding. In addition, the plan includes funding for two programs aimed at providing unmanned surface vehicles, expanding Ukraine’s role in maritime operations.

Another significant portion, an estimated $330.4 million, will go toward procurement of grenade launchers, long-range artillery ammunition, 120 mm mines and spare parts. The package also envisages the purchase of 40 mm projectiles for air defense systems, strengthening protection against air threats.

In cooperation with Denmark, Sweden also participates in the joint procurement of Tridon Mk2 air defense systems, with an investment of approximately 266 million dollars. The sharing of resources between the two countries makes it possible to equip a full air defense division, further increasing Ukraine’s defense capabilities.
