Sweden announced its 21st military aid package for Ukraine, with a total investment of approximately $1.4 billion.

According to the Swedish Ministry of Defense, the funding primarily aims to strengthen air defense capabilities and increase Ukraine’s offensive capabilities in the ongoing conflict.

One of the key pillars of this package is the expansion of a joint project to produce long-range Ukrainian drones, for which approximately $618 million will be invested. It also includes funding for two programs aimed at providing unmanned surface vehicles to expand Ukraine’s reach in maritime operations.

Another major item, approximately $330.4 million, will be used to purchase grenade launchers, long-range artillery ammunition, 120 mm mines and spare parts. The package also includes the purchase of 40 mm ammunition for air defense systems, strengthening defense capabilities against aerial threats.

In cooperation with Denmark, Sweden will also participate in the joint purchase of the Tridon Mk2 air defense system, investing approximately $266 million. The sharing of funds between the two countries will allow one fully equipped air defense division, which will further strengthen Ukraine’s defense capabilities.
