‘I’m going to kill you’, says lawyer to former CEO of Victoria’s Secret in testimony in the Epstein case The testimony of billionaire and former CEO of Victoria’s Secret Leslie Wexner in the United States Congress this week had an unusual moment. Wexner, 88, was testifying before the House of Representatives Oversight Committee about his ties to sex offender Jeffrey Epstein when an unusual warning from his lawyer was picked up on the microphone. ✅ Follow the g1 international news channel on WhatsApp “I will kill you if you answer another question with more than five words”, Michael Levy whispered to Wexner, in an excerpt captured in a video released by the committee on Thursday (19). Wexner laughed after hearing the threat and responded “ok.” His lawyer then spoke with laughter for him to answer the interrogator’s question. During testimony, Wexner acknowledged that he made visits to the island of the late financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, but denied knowledge of any criminal activity by Epstein. The former CEO of Victoria’s Secret also claimed to have severed ties with him nearly two decades ago. US House of Representatives Oversight Committee Wexner, who was Epstein’s main client for around 20 years, appears several times in the Epstein case files released by the US Department of Justice, but he is not accused of having committed any crime. Despite appearing in email exchanges with Epstein, Wexner was subpoenaed to testify after Republican Representative Thomas Massie revealed that the former CEO of Victoria’s Secret is considered by the FBI to be Epstein’s “co-conspirator”, along with Ghislaine Maxwell. Wexner, in fact, is the first public figure to testify since the release of the case files after Ghislaine. His testimony this week attracted widespread attention due to Epstein’s association with prominent figures before his death in 2019. Disclosure/US Department of Justice Les Wexner is considered a “co-conspirator” of Epstein according to a document prepared by the FBI in 2019. He appears on a list along with Ghislaine Maxwell, Leslie Groff, Jean-Luc Brunel and other blacked-out names. Maxwell is Epstein’s ex-girlfriend and longtime partner. She has been in prison since 2020; Groff served as Epstein’s executive assistant; Brunel is the link between Epstein and Brazil. Being present in this document does not automatically constitute guilt in any crime, but what Democratic and Republican politicians are now demanding is that investigations against the people appearing in the documents be resumed. In his testimony before the US Congress, Wexner said he once visited Epstein’s island and denied being the sex offender’s “co-conspirator.” He was questioned for six hours behind closed doors by US Congressional investigators. “And let me be absolutely clear: I never witnessed or had knowledge of Epstein’s criminal activities. I was never a participant or co-conspirator in any of his illegal activities,” Wexner said in written testimony to U.S. lawmakers. U.S. Rep. Robert Garcia, the highest-ranking Democrat on the House of Representatives oversight committee, said “there was not a single person more involved in providing financial support to Jeffrey Epstein to commit his crimes than Les Wexner.” The former CEO of Victoria’s Secret also confirmed that he wrote a message depicting female breasts in Epstein’s birthday message. “Unfortunately, I wrote it,” he said. The message (see photo below) resembles one that US President Donald Trump sent to Epstein, which features the silhouette of a naked woman. Disclosure/US Department of Justice “Dear Jeffrey, I’d like to give you what you want, so here it is: [desenho de seios]. Happy birthday. Your friend, Leslie,” Wexner wrote. Trump and former President Bill Clinton also sent birthday messages to the financier in 2003. Wexner said he hired Epstein as his personal financial manager beginning in the 1980s and accused the financier of using his money to buy property and assets. He also said he severed ties with Epstein around 2007, after the first formal court indictment. “To my enormous embarrassment and regret, I, like many others, was Conned by a world-class con artist. I can’t undo this part of my personal history, even though I regret having ever met him”, he added. See the videos that are trending on g1
