Minister Flávio Dino, of the Federal Supreme Court, prohibited the application of new laws on the payment of remuneration and compensation installments to public servants that exceed the constitutional ceiling. Payments are known as “hangings”. The STF minister had already determined the review of benefit payments without legal provision for the three powers until next month.
Political scientist and columnist for BandNews TV, Fernando Schüler, spoke about Dino’s decision, which also highlights that deputies and senators cannot create new rules to allow these benefits.
