The images show a large mass of snow descending the mountain. The local press reported that the first skier rescued was buried more than a meter and a half underground for around 40 minutes. He was taken to the hospital, but died on Monday (16). The other two died shortly after being rescued. According to Ansa, the victims were between 29 and 35 years old. According to Italian authorities, the avalanche risk in the region was considered high on Sunday.
