The São Paulo Carnival already has the new champion of Access Group I. Academicos do Tucuruvi won the title, with a plot that pays homage to Brazilians who resist amidst the country’s contradictions.
The association used the literary concept of the anti-hero — a character marked by an imperfect humanity and far from traditional heroic virtues — to exalt anonymous figures who survive on the margins of society.
Second place went to Pérola Negra, which brought the plot Help me, an arretada cangaceira, Maria who shakes the cute, brave and beautiful who wins the demand. THE The association took the story of Maria Bonita to the avenue. The parade told how she went from being an ordinary person to one of the most influential women in the backlands, also highlighting her representation within Umbanda.
The two return schools and return to the Special Group in 2027.
