According to a report by the UK Defence Journal This decision will deploy “two aircraft carriers and their escort ships in the region,” increasing U.S. military weight at a time when governments in the region have warned of escalation.
An insider also described the move as an attempt by the US President Donald Trumpto further increase pressure on Iran to reach “an agreement on its nuclear program”.
