Obama says aliens “are real”

Former President of the United States Barack Obama gave an interview to commentator Brian Tyler Cohen, published on the YouTube video platform this Saturday (14), in which he stated that aliens “are real”, but dismissed the idea that they are hidden in secret American government installations, such as Area 51.

“They’re real, but I haven’t seen them,” Obama told the interviewer when asked about the existence of aliens. He then denied that there is any underground facility in Area 51 housing such extraterrestrial beings.

The former president added that unless there is “a huge conspiracy” that has been hidden even from the president of the United States, there is no secret structure keeping extraterrestrials in custody at the base located in Nevada.

In a joking tone, when asked what was the first question he wanted to clarify upon assuming the US Presidency in 2009, Obama replied that he was asking “where are the aliens?”.

In the same interview, Obama criticized the immigration policy of current President Donald Trump’s government. He mentioned operations involving Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents in Minneapolis. The former president said that federal agents are being deployed in states “without clear guidelines”, removing people from their homes and using, according to him, a five-year-old child as “bait” to reach the parents.

Obama classified the actions of federal agents as “deeply worrying and dangerous” and stated that scenes of the use of tear gas against crowds that were not committing crimes were reminiscent of episodes that, according to him, “we have seen in authoritarian countries and dictatorships”, but not traditionally in the United States.
