Airports managed by Infraero are expected to receive around 120,000 passengers during the Carnival period, which begins this Friday (13) and continues until next Ash Wednesday.
According to an estimate made based on information provided by airlines, 1020 flights are scheduled, between landings and takeoffs. The expectation is for greater movement this Friday and Ash Wednesday.
At Santos Dumont Airport alone, in Rio de Janeiro, 110,900 are expected in 906 flights – an increase of 27% compared to 2025. Passo Fundo Airport, in Rio Grande do Sul, appears as the second busiest among the network’s terminals, with a forecast of 4,141 passengers in 28 flights. Vale do Aço Airport, in Ipatinga, Minas Gerais, is expected to receive two 2,142 passengers on 36 scheduled flights.
With this increase in the number of flights, passengers are advised to arrive at airports at least an hour and a half in advance. According to Infraero, security measures and fluidity in operations were reinforced.
