The video was posted on Donald Trump’s official profile on his own social network, Truth Social, on the evening of the 5th. At first, the White House minimized the episode, but, hours later, after a wave of criticism from even allies, the Trump administration gave a new version of events: that the video had been posted by mistake by an employee, and not by Trump himself.
