The Czech and Turkish defense industries have taken a new step in international cooperation with the signing of a strategic agreement between CSG Group’s Excalibur International and Aselsan.
The partnership involves establishing a joint venture aimed at expanding military solutions for the European and global markets, focusing on sensitive areas such as air defense, electronic warfare, smart munitions and border security.
One of the first achievements of this collaboration has already taken shape, scare The surface-to-air defense system was integrated into the Tatra Force chassis, a locally manufactured traditional 6×6 wheeled platform. In addition to technological adaptation, the agreement also includes the gradual transfer of production to CSG facilities in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, strengthening the regional industrial base.
Korkut uses two 35mm automatic cannons and can hit targets up to 4km away at a firing rate of 1,100 rounds per minute. The system is designed to respond quickly and accurately to modern airborne threats, taking full advantage of its mobility and on-the-spot reaction capabilities.
Another feature is the use of 35mm ATOM programmable ammunition that explodes in the air and releases tungsten fragments in front of the target. Thanks to advanced digital fire control algorithms, Korkut can efficiently neutralize drones and cruise missiles, providing a more economical solution than existing missile-based systems.
