China critic and former media mogul Jimmy Lai sentenced to 20 years in prison in Hong Kong security case

In the decision, three government-approved judges wrote that the initial sentence was increased because they considered Lai the mastermind of the conspiracies. However, they reduced the punishment by accepting that his age, health condition and solitary confinement would make prison time harsher than for other inmates.
