The government of Rio de Janeiro has 15 days to send the cameras and images captured during Operation Containment, which took place in October last year in the Penha and Alemão complexes, to the Federal Police (PF) management.
The decision was signed this Wednesday (4) by minister Alexandre de Moraes. Considered the most lethal operation in Rio de Janeiro in recent years, the operation aimed, according to the state’s Public Security, to contain the advances of Comando Vermelho. 122 people were killed, including five police officers.
According to the decision, the equipment and images must undergo inspection by the PF. The corporation must present reports of the work carried out.
