Minister Nunes Marques, of the Federal Supreme Court, will be the rapporteur of the sexual harassment investigation against minister Marco Buzzi, of the Superior Court of Justice. The investigation was opened at the Federal Supreme Court (STF) this Wednesday (4) because of the privileged forum given by Buzzi’s role.
According to the complaint, the crime was committed at the beginning of January against a young woman, aged 18, who was staying at the magistrate’s house in Santa Catarina. The teenager is the daughter of a couple of friends of the minister. The case is being processed in secret and was referred to the STF because the magistrate has a privileged jurisdiction. An investigation at the administrative level was also opened at the National Council of Justice.
In a statement, Marco Buzzi denied the accusation. An investigation by Band journalist, Caiã Messina, indicates that the three ministers who make up the investigation committee announced yesterday to investigate Minister Buzzi’s case agree to apply the maximum penalty, which is compulsory retirement.
