INSS Fraud: Federal Government opens deadline for adherence to reimbursement

by Marcelo Moreira

From this Friday (11), retirees and pensioners who had improper discounts made by associative entities can already join the reimbursement agreement proposed by the federal government. The process is necessary for the beneficiary to receive the return of amounts directly to the account, without having to appeal to court.

The reimbursement plan is the result of a conciliation agreement signed between several institutions, including the Ministry of Social Security and the National Institute of Social Security (INSS). The document also had to be approved by the Federal Supreme Court (STF).

Beneficiaries who can use the service are those who have made the discount contestation and did not answer the entities. To date, the INSS has received 3.8 million challenges (97.4% of open requests).

The service is free and exempts the sending of additional documents. Once finalized, the amount will be automatically deposited in the account where the benefit is already registered.

How to accept the agreement by my INSS app?

  1. Access the my INSS with CPF and password app.
  2. Go to “consult orders” and click “Fulfill Requirement” on each order (if there is more than one).
  3. Roll the screen to the last comment, read carefully and, in the field “I accept”, select “Yes”.
  4. Click “Send” and you’re done. Then just wait for the payment!

Reimbursement calendar

The first payment will be made on July 24, with daily lots until all are completed.

The amount will be paid in a single installment, monetarily updated based on the IPCA, from the date of each discount to its inclusion in the payroll.
