“Guys. Being pregnant is miserable,” she wrote in an Instagram Stories post in November. “I woke up at 2 for no reason, threw up 30 mins later, fell back asleep, woke up at 3:45, threw up again, fell BACK ASLEEP, WOKE UP AGAIN, THROWING UP NOW BC I’M HUNGRY, but ofc I can’t eat anything bc it will prolong the cycle.”
Fortunately, the difficulties proved to be worthwhile. After all, Emily’s husband Tyler Johnson—with whom she shares kids Jennings10, Gibson9, Gatlin8, Magnolia “Nola” Belle5, and Jones3—shared an Instagram carousel of pictures from the delivery room, writing that the feeling of being first-time grandparents was “inexpressible” before adding, “This is love.”
