Authorities sharing insight into their investigation into the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie.
Just one day after the mother of Today anchor Savannah Guthrie was reported missing in her hometown of Tucson, Arizona, local sheriff Chris Nanos shared an update on the condition of Nancy’s house when authorities arrived at the scene.
“We believe now, after we processed that crime scene, that we do, in fact have a crime scene,” he shared during a Feb. 2 press conference. “We’re asking the community’s help. This community has always stepped up to help us solve some pretty tough crimes. I’m looking for that again.”
He added of Nancy’s known health condition, prior to her disappearance, “This is an 84-year-old lady who suffers from some physical ailments, has some physical challenges, is in need of medication—medication that if she doesn’t have in 24 hours, it could be fatal.”
Later in the conference, the Sheriff shared insight into how authorities determined they were in fact looking at a crime scene, with him citing Nancy’s limited mobility.
