US approved 30 units AH-64E Apache Guardian the possible sale of combat helicopters to Israel in an agreement worth up to 3.8 billion US dollars.

The approval was announced by the US State Department and published on the Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) official website. The most modern Apache in addition to configuration helicopters, the package includes 70 pieces T700-GE-701D engine, the latest generation M-TADS/PNVS electro-optical systems, 30 AN/APG-78 Longbow fire control radars, missile warning equipment, night vision systems, 60 M36E8 practice missiles, as well as the most modern, M-code supported navigation equipment.

The agreement also includes full support: pilot and crew training, provision of simulators, ongoing technical support and spare parts, ensuring fleet integration and long-term sustainable operation.

The AH-64E one of its most important distinguishing features is a MUMT (Manned-Unmanned Teaming) system that allows pilots to control drones directly from the cockpit, receive real-time video and launch coordinated attacks, increasing situational awareness and operational efficiency.

Currently, the Israel Air Force operates two main Apache variants under the local designations “Peten” and “Saraf”, primarily in the 113th and 190th squadrons. The regularization of the AH-64E variant represents a significant technological leap for Israel’s combat helicopter capabilities, improving network capabilities, strike power and battlefield survivability.
