Former minister Aldo Rebelo launched his pre-candidacy for the Presidency of the Republic this Saturday (31) through the Christian Democracy (DC) party. The announcement was made during an event in São Paulo.
During his speech, he harshly criticized the Federal Supreme Court (STF), accusing the Court of promoting a “constitutional imbalance” by contradicting Congress decisions, and stated that the STF cannot be a “power above the others”.
Rebelo also criticized the Lula government’s environmental policy, defending greater private investment in the country as a way to stimulate the economy.
A former minister in the governments of Lula and Dilma, he has had a long career in politics, including the presidency of the Chamber of Deputies.
