The governor of São Paulo, Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicans), stated this Friday (30) that the decision to run for re-election in São Paulo is not related to “submission” to former president Jair Bolsonaro, his main political godfather.
Tarcísio made the statement after Kassab said on Thursday (29) that the governor needs to find his political identity and that “gratitude and loyalty is one thing, submission is another.”
The governor visited Bolsonaro in Papudinha, inside the Papuda Penitentiary Complex, on Thursday (29). Even after the meeting, he continued to say that he will run for re-election in São Paulo and that he supports Flávio Bolsonaro as the right-wing candidate for president.
