The National Institute of Social Security (INSS) will disclose this Thursday (10) the payment calendar of reimbursement to retirees and pensioners who were improperly discounted by associations and unions. The forecast is that Social Security Minister Wolney Queiroz and INSS president Gilberto Waller give details from 11 am (Brasília time).
Retirees who disputed the discounts or have made the return request in post office agencies will need to inform the government that they agree to receive the money administratively, by the rules of the agreement that was prepared by various bodies and approved by the Federal Supreme Court (STF). According to the INSS, adhesion is necessary for the beneficiary to receive the return of amounts directly to the account, without having to go to court.
Reimbursement, which will be made every 15 days, should start to be paid from July 24th. According to Gilberto Waller, social security should prioritize the payment of elderly people over 80, indigenous and quilombolas. In the first batch of reimbursement, it is estimated that 1.5 million victims will receive the total amount questioned. For the INSS schedule, two other rounds are scheduled for August 9 and 24.
