Concept off-road estremo

The X Skorpio Concept is the first Genesis project oriented towards extreme off-road. Inspired by the black scorpion, the model was designed to operate in hostile environments, such as deserts, combining advanced technical capabilities with the brand’s signature luxury proposition.

According to Genesis, the development of the concept involved a team specializing in off-road engineering and design, with particular attention to structural strength and functionality. The vehicle uses a tubular frame, a full roll cage and components sourced from suppliers specializing in off-road endurance racing.

“The

Design inspired by nature

The design of the X Skorpio Concept was developed based on the anatomy and defensive behavior of the black scorpion. The curves of the bodywork recall the animal’s arched tail, while the segmented panels resemble an exoskeleton, designed to facilitate quick repairs in extreme environments.

Functional elements, such as the roof air intake and the high, balanced posture, reinforce the off-road character of the concept. Genesis’ traditional Two-Line light design has been integrated into the front and rear lights, maintaining the brand’s visual identity even in a design with a radical profile.

Interior oriented towards performance and comfort

The interior of the X Skorpio Concept has been designed to provide comfort and safety in severe conditions, going beyond the utilitarian approach common in extreme off-road vehicles. The cabin features ergonomic seats, intuitive controls and climate systems designed to reduce driver fatigue.

The instrument panel is integrated into the steering wheel, allowing you to read information without taking your eyes off the route. A sliding display can be configured for the exclusive use of the driver or co-pilot, making it easier to navigate complex routes. Safety handles, advanced communication systems and ergonomic solutions complete the set.

Performance, engineering and safety

Equipped with a high-performance V8 engine that delivers 1.100 cavalli of horsepower and 850 pound-feet of torque, the X Skorpio Concept sets new benchmarks for off-road driving. The model uses 18-inch beadlock wheels with custom 40-inch off-road tires, a combination designed to maximize grip and durability on rough terrain.

The braking system includes Brembo Motorsport brakes, which increase stopping power and response in extreme situations, contributing to precise vehicle control. With generous approach and departure angles, a short wheelbase and a high breakover angle, the concept also features finely tuned suspension and extreme ground clearance, allowing it to overcome severe obstacles without compromising structural integrity.

High-travel fenders, reinforced skid plates and precision-engineered components work together to reduce the risk of damage or cover-up. Safety is treated as a central element of the project, with an integrated safety cage, four-point seat belts and reinforced structures to protect the driver and passengers.

The construction employs a combination of fiberglass, carbon fiber and Kevlar, aiming for a balance between structural strength and weight reduction.

Focus on the Middle Eastern lifestyle

According to Genesis, the X Skorpio Concept has been adapted to the automotive culture and lifestyle of the Middle East, where off-road racing and high-speed recreational driving are common practices. In large desert environments, the vehicle demonstrates the ability to climb dunes and surf sand with stability and control.

The optimized aerodynamic design reduces drag and maximizes stability, keeping the vehicle controlled both in contact with the ground and during lifting moments, ensuring safe landings and predictable behavior.

New approach to concept cars

The desert presentation marks the beginning of a new approach by Genesis to its concept cars, with a focus on real driving experiences and specific lifestyles, such as off-road and exploration. At the moment, the brand has not confirmed production plans for the models on display.
