Plane crashes with 15 people on board in Colombia; all occupants died

According to the country’s authorities, there were no survivors. ✅ Follow the g1 international news channel on WhatsApp The aircraft, a Beechcraft 1900 with 13 passengers and two crew, took off from the border city of Cúcuta bound for Ocaña and lost contact with the control towers shortly before noon, minutes before its landing. According to Satena, flight NSE 8849 had taken off at 11:42 am local time (1:42 pm in Brasília) and was expected to arrive around 12:05 pm (2:05 pm in Brasília). The aircraft, however, “reported its last contact with air traffic control at 11:54 am,” the airline said in a statement. Security and tracking protocols have been activated, according to the country’s aviation authority. Cúcuta and Ocaña are just 200 km away from each other, but the land connection is precarious, in the middle of a region of rugged terrain in the north of the country.
