A man caught the attention of internet users after demonstrating how a snow cleaning robot works during a blizzard.
The device was shown by Tom Moloughneya New Jersey resident who has a famous YouTube channel focused on charging technology and electric cars.
In the video in question, Tom demonstrated how his autonomous snow blower works Yarbo cleaning the driveway of his approximately 550-square-foot home during a storm.
“This will be a great test to see if this robot can handle a 557 square foot entrance during a big winter storm. I’m inside having a coffee while it’s doing its thing and so far so good!” he said in his X profile.
Tom also said that the machine would recharge to about 80% after approximately 1.25 hours before automatically returning to resume work.
Winter Storm Fern has descended upon NJ this morning and my @yarboglobal autonomous snow blower went into action.
This is going to be a great test to see if this robot can handle a 6,000 sq.ft. driveway during a major winter storm.

As the storm unfolded, Tom said he kept his snow blower Yarbo running all the time, allowing it to clear the snow in several passes rather than waiting until the snowfall ends.

He restarted the machine remotely when snow accumulated, letting it return to its charging base, recharge and return on its own. This strategy, he said, helped keep his long driveway “manageable” even as snow and ice continued to accumulate.
In his review video, posted on his YouTube channel at the beginning of the month, Tom emphasized that he noticed some flaws in the machine during the test. For example, the robot got stuck shortly after hitting a pile of snow left behind from a previous cleanup.
He later continued operating with only one side of his auger turning after a cutting pin broke, a problem he didn’t notice until he returned home. This led Tom to give the product an overall “C to C+” rating.
